Florida Gators Video Of The Day: Bradley Beal Works Out With The Washington Wizards

The Gators Video of the Day (GVOD) features, you guessed it, videos relating to the Florida Gators. They could be Gators athletes or homemade videos made by fans like ourselves. If you have any suggestions for GVOD, email me at evandagator@gmail.com or TBG at onegameback@gmail.com. We will try our best to live up to the “of the day” part of the title.

Bradley Beal is on his way to bigger and better things. The former Florida star worked out on Thursday for the Washington Wizards who have the No. 3 pick in the NBA Draft. With his workout, Beal set a strong plea that the Wizards should take Beal with their first pick. Below is his workout video.

Beal also impressed with the way he handled his pre-draft workout interview, where he appeared composed and had all the right answers to what he was asked.

Beal certainly has worked hard to get to the point he is at today. He’s traversed from struggling to live up to his sharp-shooter reputation in his freshman season to becoming one of the Gators’ team leaders and eventually a potential top-5 draft pick.

Since the pre-draft process has started, Beal has impressed. One site even believes that for the Wizards, it’s Beal or bust.

How do you feel about the way Beal has progressed this year? Is he deserving of a top-5 pick? How do you like the prospects of him going to the Wizards?

  1. Evandagator says:

Oh and my favorite destination for Beal: The Thunder. The Bobcats may shop the No. 2 pick, and a trade for James Harden is possible, which would almost ensure the Thunder scooping up Beal at No. 2 to replace their productive sixth man.

    • As someone that doesn’t overly follow the NBA, is that a smart trade for them? Harden is very productive for their system and they already know what they have with him.

      • Evandagator says:

Yes, actually it would be good for both teams (And great for Beal). You see, Harden only has one year left on his contract after this year, and they cannot possibly pay up the money for Serge Ibaka AND Harden while they owe so much money to Durant and Westbrook. So, they will have to choose between Ibaka and Harden, and most think they will go with the big man.

Beal would give them a great prospect and someone they wouldn’t have to pay much for. He could easily contribute and settle right into Harden’s role if not starting. It would be great for Beal to go right to a permanent contender for the next few years as well. It saves him a lot of bad years of losing.

For Charlotte, they could have a possible developing star in Harden. Someone they could build their team around.

  2. Maybe I’ll go ahead and make Beal’s team my favorite. Need one eventually.
